When you submit your first paper to Moodle on Thursday, you will also submit an analytical cover letter that discusses the following:
- What was the process you used to write this paper? What steps did you take to get this paper to the final draft stage? What peer feedback did you receive on your work, what peer/instructor feedback did you use to revise your work, and what effect did those revisions have on your work?
- What did you learn about research while working on this paper? What research skills, processes, and/or methods will you use again when you leave WRT 160?
- What does this paper say about you as a writer? As a researcher?
- How will the skills you used and exercised with this first project inform the work you do in other classes?
- Is there anything else Lori needs to know about your work for this first project?
Your analytical cover letter should be about 250 words long. It will be addressed to me (Lori) and written in a (somewhat) formal letter style. Your cover letter, paper, and references page is due in Moodle no later than 2:30 pm on Thursday, September 30th.
