There aren't many absolute rules in Web design, but there are 2-3 that you simply MUST follow. Note that folks who brazenly break these rules, while rebels who deserve our respect, never succeed when posting sites to the internet.
So the first rule we'll encounter that cannot be broken relates to what you name your homepage file. Saving that file as "MySuperCoolWebsite" might make you feel super cool, but it won't get you on the net.
So, your home page must be saved as "index." Only as "index," and as "index" with no typographical whistles and bells. You might have personal issues against a lower-case "index," but the web will not publish "Index" or "Index!" or "Index:-)"
