Description:

The majority of your research will be completed by the end of Week 10 in this class, which will leave us time for both the construction of your New Media Compositions and for the compilation and editing of your final portfolio. Your portfolio will be presented in electronic form (as a hyperlinked folder or website), burned to a disc or shared with me as a folder in your DropBox, and it will contain all of the drafts and revisions you've done for each project in WRT 160 as well as the analytical cover letters you composed, reading/viewing summaries and responses you wrote, in-class work you did, peer and instructor feedback you received, and peer feedback you gave.

Your portfolio will also contain any optional final (global and significant) revisions you've made to your projects and a 3-5 page, double-spaced portfolio introduction that critically analyzes your work to illustrate what you've learned this semester about academic writing; critical reading; summarizing and responding to sources; incorporating source material into your academic writing; providing feedback to peers; incorporating peer and instructor feedback into your revisions; and composing journalistic, academic, and new media texts.

Please Note:

If you choose to make revisions to any of your assignments in this portfolio, you will need both to describe those changes briefly in your portfolio introduction and make those changes with Track Changes enabled in the document. This will make it easier for me (and any of your other readers) to see the exact changes you've made to each document. If you do not do both of these things for your portfolio revision, I will assume you did not revise the assignment and your grade will not change.
